Many big and beautifully decorated manuscripts written in the fourteenth century are preserved. Among those are the Kings‘ Sagas (46 manuscripts and manuscript-parts), Sagas of Icelanders (23 manuscripts and parts of manuscripts), annuals and stories of holy men (13 manuscripts and parts), stories of knights and legendary sagas (14 manuscripts and parts) and most of the main manuscripts containing Snorri Sturluson‘s Edda.
